Michela Murgia ha scritto ogni giorno della sua vita, senza mai smettere di chiedersi cosa è possibile
cambiare, in sé e nel mondo, inventando storie. “Di storie ne servono molte, moltissime, per non diventare schiavi di un solo punto di vista”. Anna della pioggia nasce da qui: racconti scritti negli anni, magari letti in una piazza e poi diventati introvabili. E tornati ora alla luce, pieni di vita ed idee. Nel primo di essi che dà il titolo alla raccolta, la protagonista è una donna che corre sotto la pioggia.

davvero. La sua vita, le sue paure, la solitudine, la ricerca feroce di sé. Un racconto sull’identità femminile che non fa sconti.
Elena Arvigo, già Premio Hystrio e Premio Le Maschere, tra le voci più intense del teatro italiano,
incontra per la prima volta la grande scrittrice sarda.
Un omaggio necessario a una figura gigantesca, di cui oggi sentiamo tutta la mancanza.
Michela Murgia wrote every day of her life, never ceasing to ask herself what could be changed—within herself and in the world—through the act of storytelling. “We need many stories, a great many stories, so as not to become slaves to a single point of view.” Anna della pioggia (Anna of the Rain) springs from this conviction: a collection of stories written over the years, sometimes read aloud in public squares and later becoming impossible to find. Now they return to the light, vibrant with life and ideas. In the story that gives the collection its title, the protagonist is a woman running through the rain. She runs and she thinks. She reflects on dishwashers, ornaments, stuffed toys—anything to avoid confronting what she is truly running from: her own life, her fears, her loneliness, and her relentless search for herself. It is a story about female identity that offers no easy answers and grants no concessions.
Elena Arvigo, recipient of both the Hystrio Award and the Le Maschere Award and one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Italian theatre, encounters for the first time the work of the great Sardinian writer. A necessary tribute to a towering figure whose absence is deeply felt today
