“Bent’è Mari”, la nuova produzione originale di Medinsard – Centro di Produzione Musicale , è un progetto musicale che attraversa mari, culture e secoli, portando con sé le voci, i suoni, i ritmi e le parole trasportate dal vento.
Dalla Sardegna alle coste del Nord Africa, fino al Brasile e ritorno, questo progetto originale intende esplorare le antiche melodie e le tradizioni vocali che hanno unito diverse terre, riflettendo sulla forza delle rotte dimenticate ma sempre necessarie. Le sonorità evocative di Bent’è Mari raccontano di un dialogo senza tempo tra i popoli che hanno navigato e si sono incontrati, tra di loro, nelle acque del Mediterraneo e oltre. Le lingue e i canti provenienti dalle isole sarde, dal Maghreb e dal Brasile si intrecciano con i suoni del vento, creando un paesaggio musicale che sfida le barriere geografiche e culturali.
Un Viaggio Sonoro tra Tradizione e Contemporaneità
Il progetto è un incontro tra diverse tradizioni musicali, che spaziano dal tabarkino/ligure delle isole minori della Sardegna del sud al sardo dell’Isola Grande, passando per l’arabo del Maghreb e il portoghese del Brasile. Queste lingue, antiche e moderne, si mescolano con suoni e colori che il vento ha portato attraverso i secoli, unendo voci, canti e storie che ritrovano le rotte dimenticate, ma sempre più necessarie in un mondo globale e interconnesso. Il progetto è una riflessione profonda sull’eredità di queste tradizioni musicali, che, attraverso la loro bellezza e la loro autenticità, invitano a guardare indietro per andare avanti, a riscoprire le radici per comprendere meglio il presente e costruire il futuro. From Sardinia to the shores of North Africa, on to Brazil and back again, this original project explores the ancient melodies and vocal traditions that have connected distant lands, reflecting on the enduring power of forgotten yet ever-essential routes. The evocative soundscapes of Bent’è Mari tell the story of a timeless dialogue among the peoples who sailed, met, and exchanged cultures across the waters of the Mediterranean and beyond. Languages and songs from the islands of Sardinia, the Maghreb, and Brazil intertwine with the sounds of the wind, creating a musical landscape that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.

The project brings together diverse musical traditions, ranging from the Tabarkino/Ligurian language of Sardinia’s southern islands to the Sardinian language of the main island, alongside the Arabic of the Maghreb and the Portuguese of Brazil. These ancient and modern languages blend with sounds and colours carried by the wind across centuries, uniting voices, songs, and stories that rediscover forgotten routes—routes that are increasingly necessary in today’s global and interconnected world.
