E se la guerra di Troia fosse raccontata in forma di stand-up direttamente dai protagonisti? Possiamo essere certi che la storia sia andata esattamente come è stata narrata? Quali retroscena potremmo scoprire? E i personaggi sono soddisfatti di come sono stati narrati oppure la loro versione nasconde delle sorprese?
Il collettivo milanese Terzo Segreto di Satira fa il suo debutto a teatro e sceglie la forma della stand up comedy per raccontare con il solito stile irriverente e originalissimo il nostro presente utilizzando le più grandi storie dell’antichità.
E non si poteva che partire con l’Iliade, “poema della forza”, come l’ha definito Simone Weil, che racconta delle antiche guerre, stancanti e incerte, dei Micenei e della loro più ardita campagna militare, punto più alto della loro espansione nel Mediterraneo: è il mondo perduto degli eroi, la privilegiata arena dei campioni, l’universo aristocratico dei principi.
Ed ecco che non senza ironia e la giusta dose di improvvisazione parlano finalmente i protagonisti ai microfoni del Troy Comedy Club, dove un improbabile MC ha organizzato un open mic: qui figure carismatiche racconteranno la loro versione della storia, senza filtri e senza menzogne. E attraverso la loro narrazione, potremmo cogliere spunti per raccontare anche la nostra società e osservare come nella nostra epoca dell’usa e getta si possa passare così velocemente da protagonisti a comparse.
Sul palcoscenico si alterneranno Achille, prototipo dell’eroe greco, giovane, guerriero terribile e invincibile, destinato a morte precoce e imperitura fama a cui toccherà difendersi dall’accusa di egocentrismo, da Ulisse, ineffabile e vanaglorioso stratega a ovviamente la “coppia dorata” che ha scatenato la guerra, ovvero Paride ed Elena, che per la prima volta affronteranno i gossip per raccontare la loro verità.
Biografia Il Terzo Segreto di Satira
Il Terzo Segreto di Satira è un collettivo di registi attivo a Milano dal febbraio 2011, formato dagli artisti Pietro Belfiore, Davide Bonacina, Andrea Fadenti, Andrea Mazzarella e Davide Rossi, tutti provenienti dalla Civica Scuola di Cinema Televisione e Nuovi Media di Milano, dove si sono conosciuti e formati. Il gruppo è diventato noto nel maggio 2011 realizzando il video Il favoloso mondo di Pisapie, pubblicato su YouTube in occasione del ballottaggio delle elezioni comunali di Milano e subito inaspettatamente popolarissimo. Partono da lì le collaborazioni con programmi televisivi come Ballarò, Report e Piazzapulita dove si distinguono per la lucida osservazione dei problemi della società e della politica e per quello stile scanzonato eppure profondissimo con il quale riescono a raccontare l’Italia. Nel maggio 2015 Il Terzo Segreto conduce uno speciale su LaF, intitolato Democrazia portami via. Nel 2017 dirigono – e scrivono insieme a Ugo Chiti – il loro primo film Si muore tutti democristiani, girato tra Milano e la Puglia, uscito nelle sale nel 2018, storia di tre amici che condividono ideali politici e sperano di tornare a realizzare documentari a tema sociale, ma che un giorno ricevono una proposta che fa vacillare la loro integrità (nel cast Marco Ripoldi, Massimiliano Loizzi, Walter Leonardi, Renato Avallone, Valentina Lodovini). Nel 2021 dirigono Mollo tutto e apro un chiringuito, seppur non come collettivo, con protagonista Germano Lanzoni, il personaggio del web “Il milanese imbruttito” che avrà un sequel intitolato Ricomincio da taaac.
What if the Trojan War were told as a stand-up comedy by its protagonists themselves? Can we really be certain that events unfolded exactly as history has handed them down to us? What hidden stories might emerge? And are these legendary characters satisfied with the way they have been portrayed, or does their own version of events hold unexpected surprises?
The Milan-based collective Il Terzo Segreto di Satira makes its theatrical debut, choosing the format of stand-up comedy to explore the present day through the lens of the greatest stories of antiquity, with the irreverent and highly original style for which they are renowned.
And where better to begin than with the Iliad—the “poem of force,” as Simone Weil famously described it—which recounts the exhausting and uncertain wars of the Mycenaeans and their boldest military campaign, the pinnacle of their expansion across the Mediterranean. It is the lost world of heroes, the privileged arena of champions, the aristocratic universe of princes.
With irony and a healthy dose of improvisation, the protagonists finally take the microphone at the Troy Comedy Club, where an unlikely MC has organized an open mic night. Here, charismatic figures tell their own version of the story—unfiltered and unvarnished. Through their narratives, audiences are invited not only to revisit the ancient world but also to reflect on contemporary society, observing how, in today’s disposable culture, one can move from leading role to background character with astonishing speed.
Taking turns on stage are Achilles, the archetypal Greek hero—young, formidable, and invincible, destined for an early death and eternal fame—who finds himself defending against accusations of egocentrism; Odysseus, the elusive and self-glorifying master strategist; and, of course, the “golden couple” whose love ignited the war, Paris and Helen, who for the first time confront the rumours and gossip surrounding them in order to tell their own truth.
Biography – Il Terzo Segreto di Satira
Il Terzo Segreto di Satira is a collective of filmmakers and directors active in Milan since February 2011. It was founded by Pietro Belfiore, Davide Bonacina, Andrea Fadenti, Andrea Mazzarella, and Davide Rossi, all graduates of the Civica Scuola di Cinema, Televisione e Nuovi Media in Milan, where they first met and trained together. The group gained widespread recognition in May 2011 with the release of Il favoloso mondo di Pisapie, a video published on YouTube during the runoff campaign for the Milan municipal elections, which unexpectedly became a viral success. This led to collaborations with television programmes such as Ballarò, Report, and Piazzapulita, where they became known for their sharp analysis of social and political issues and for a style that is at once playful and profoundly insightful in its portrayal of contemporary Italy. In May 2015, the collective hosted a special programme on LaF entitled Democrazia portami via. In 2017, together with writer Ugo Chiti, they directed and co-wrote their first feature film, Si muore tutti democristiani (We All Die Christian Democrats), shot between Milan and Puglia and released in cinemas in 2018. The film tells the story of three friends who share political ideals and dream of returning to socially engaged documentary filmmaking, until a proposal arrives that puts their integrity to the test. The cast includes Marco Ripoldi, Massimiliano Loizzi, Walter Leonardi, Renato Avallone, and Valentina Lodovini. In 2021, although not formally as a collective, they directed Mollo tutto e apro un chiringuito (I’m Quitting Everything and Opening a Beach Bar), starring Germano Lanzoni, best known online as “Il Milanese Imbruttito.” The film was later followed by a sequel entitled Ricomincio da taaac.
